Pender Island offers community parks and many beach accesses and trails ranging from casual walks to vigorous hikes. Forest and intertidal ecosystems provide much to explore. Wildlife abounds – Eagles, whales, deer and more flourish here. You will see lots of life in the tidal pools as you explore the coast.

Although Pender has steep windy roads, cyclists may find many areas with scenic, moderate routes to explore.
Magic Lake is the main swimming spot. There is a swimming dock and picnic site located at the south end of the lake. There are also public swimming pools located at the resorts and marinas on island.
